PLAYWRITING AND PERFORMANCE
About the Program
In this cross-curricular program students use improvisation and writing exercises to create an original play. Program ends with a performance by the students. This can be a bi-lingual program. In this 10-session program students begin by exploring ideas through improvisation and writing exercises. They then break into groups to create stories, do a staged reading, rehearsal and a performance. These student plays can be based on stories and topics being taught in class. Curriculum integration: English Language Arts, History, Social Studies, Science.
