We are currently offering the following Playwriting Programs:
In My Own Words
Students research a historic figure and bring that person to life by writing and performing an original monologue in their own words. The program combines history, research, creative writing and performance and can be developed in collaboration with English or History teachers to support classroom curriculum.
Screenwriting
Students explore how ideas and characters become stories for the screen while learning the fundamentals of screenwriting. Through writing and creative collaboration, students develop their own voices as storytellers and learn how stories are constructed for film.
Playwriting
Students learn how characters, dialogue and dramatic structure come together to create a play. Through writing, theatre exercises and creative exploration, they develop original work and discover what it means to write for the stage.
