About the Program

The classic Monkey King stories from China form the basis of this Commedia-inspired adaptation written by Jeff Raz with music by Johannes Mager and directed by Daniel Passer, Monkey King: An Adventure features a diverse cast with Noga Wind, Jade Robinson and Aryan Kassam and custom-designed mask by Robert Allen Beuth. Filmed outdoors, this new Enrichment Works offering takes distance learners on a playful journey with Buddha, Sanzang the monk, a simian superhero, a loveable pig, trolls, demons and more. At turns celestial and crude, the play’s brand of physical comedy will appeal to K-5 students.
