Jesa Townsend

An arts education consultant and celebrated researcher, Jesa is a
purpose-driven community outreach leader. Jesa has taught and designed arts-based
curriculum for grade levels third through undergraduate, curated and managed
mentorship panels as well as overseen large scale community arts
integration initiatives. She is well-versed in philanthropic strategy,
social policy, and grant securement. Further, Jesa has been invited to
present her research on the arts as a vehicle for issues of social
justice in academic and government forums.  Also a practicing artist,
Jesa accepts private art commissions and secures public art commissions.
Cumulatively she has partnered with 19 nonprofits, cities, hotel chains,
and educational institutions. She currently sits on three local arts councils
and is a founding board member of the Arts & Culture Advisory Council at
Nevada State College. Jesa earned her undergraduate degree in marketing and
communications, studied art at Lorenzo ’de Medici University in Italy, and studied
international business management at The University of Edinburgh in
Scotland. She earned her master’s in liberal arts from Johns Hopkins
University where she was the recipient of two academic fellowships.
