Randy Brenner directed “An Emerald World.” Previous directing credits include: at PVPA, Fiddler and White Christmas (twice), Man of LaMancha, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels(GCT), The Fix, Kiss of the Spider Woman, I Remember Mama, Nine (MTG), Autumn Canticle (GLAAD nomination; Celebration)). Directed/Collaborated Stephen Schwartz’s Snapshots (regional).
Mr. Brenner also directed all of David Pevsner’s one person musicals, the latest was made into a film currently being screened at festivals in NYC. He directed numerous musicals for The Nine O’Clock Players, bringing classic children’s stories to all of the LAUSD schools, Awards: Scenie (6), DayTony, Dramalogue, Robbie, Phoebe.
Also, Mr. Brenner directed Dan Butler and later Greg Louganis in the acclaimed play, The Only Thing Worse You Could Have Told Me… Off-Broadway (GLAAD Media Award/ NY Outer Critics Award nomination), Marry Me A Little (groundbreaking production sanctioned by Stephen Sondheim), The Powder Room Suite (Sally Kirkland), Bashed (Bruce Davidson), The Gamester (Tony Shalhoub).
For PAWS/LA, their 20th Anniversary Event; Mr. Brenner’s production of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, starring Barrett Foa, Rory O’Malley, Doug Kreeger, Tracie Thoms, Carly Hughes and Jered Gertner at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.
