After graduating from Indiana University with a Master’s in Art in 1996, Russ Coon moved to Los Angeles and founded PIELAB Media (www.pielabmedia.com), a multimedia development company providing web solutions for businesses, non-profits and educational institutions. In addition to running the shop, Russ is a co-founder and technical editor of ARTMargins, an online and print journal published by The MIT Press devoted to art and visual culture in a global context. His company handles all aspects of interactive development: HTML, content management systems, ecommerce, mobile applications, social media margeting, online demos and videos, rich media banner advertising, interactive training materials, search engine optimization and marketing, and email marketing campaigns. In his spare time he mentors middle-school students, teaching a digital animation class for Venice Arts; and he is an avid homebrewer, motorcyclist and fan of the LA Kings hockey club.
