“We’ve gotten lots of positive feedback about Enrichment Works – from parents, employees and kids. I’ve attended shows where the kids in our after-school program sat mesmerized. The administrative support from this organization has been first-rate and we look forward to having them back next year.”
Wilbur Williams, LAUSD YS Care Program

“Excellent! There was nothing but positive feedback.”

“Educational and engaging shows, ranging from the wacky to the enlightening.”

“As the parent of a 9 year-old boy who has experienced Enrichment Works, I want to thank you for creating such a wonderful way to touch children’s hearts and minds with stories that will remain with them always. My son Daniel is very self-conscious about the fact that he cannot read as well as his friends. After seeing the Albert Einstein performance, Daniel could not stop talking about the fact that Albert also struggled in school. Moreover, Daniel discovered that maybe he could grow up to do important things even though school seems so hard… Over the years we have told Daniel about Einstein, as I am sure all good parents of children with learning differences do, but it was not until he saw Albert Einstein for himself that Daniel got the message. Thank you again for providing this invaluable service to school-aged children. It is my greatest hope that you come to Daniel’s school again this year.”

“On behalf of all the students and staff at our school, I want to thank you for the two incredible assemblies that you provided for our students… This has been a challenging year for our students and their families. We have slightly over 600 students at our school and approximately 400 of them had a parent who was deployed during the war with Iraq. To say the least, the children experienced stress that is not common to most elementary school students…

It is often difficult to predict how students will respond to an assembly, and I was wondering how our kindergarten and first graders would do with the Voyage of Odysseus. In my 34 years of working with children, I have never seen an audience of 280 five and six year olds totally mesmerized by an assembly that lasted 50 minutes. Your performer, Joshua Feinman, took them on the voyage of their lives, and I know this voyage was shared at home as several parents told me their children came home and talked and talked about the ship, the slimy eyed monster, the “wife”, the robe and the sword that Joshua utilized to make the Odyssey come to life. Our second and third graders were equally enthralled. After the assembly, one second-grader told me, “Mrs. G. I’m going to the library and find a book about the Odyssey. I want to know more about the adventures.” That is a compliment that came from a child being so entertained that he wanted to learn more, and isn’t that the goal of education?

I want to offer my heartfelt thank you to you and Joshua for bringing such an incredible performance to our school. There are no words to express how much your act of kindness meant to me our staff and our students. You brought such joy to children who have had some “tough” times.
Lynne Gilstrap Principal, Mary Fay Pendleton School
“It is a pleasure to write this letter confirming the broad and significant impact the program called “My Friend Shakespeare” has had on our nine-year-old daughter… The program opened her eyes to Shakespeare and made his work a part of her life. The woman who presented the material did so in a humorous way, which reached my daughter and the other children creatively… thank you for enriching our child’s learning experience.”
Dan Rothblat
“Thanks a lot for coming to my classroom and teaching us about writing a story. That was really cool what we did and what you did to help us was really nice.”
Walter Cervantes, 4th Grade, Hudnall School
“Thanks for the best assembly we ever had.”
Marlene Cecil, Lead Instructor, Mary Fay Pendleton School
“Thank you for Eddie Frierson's terrific show, MATTY. My students absolutely loved it. Eddie was wonderful with the kids in an informal question and answer after the performance… inspiring to me AND the kids.”
